There are some wonderful events happening at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre over the coming months. Why not stay overnight in Dublin, leave your car and walk to the theatre from the Baggot Court Townhouse Hotel, it take just 20-minutes to walk and it’s a very nice walk down along the Grand Canal. The Fitzwilliam Townhouse and Waterloo Lodge Bed and Breakfast are also nearby and within walking distance, Fitzwilliam is approximately 20-minutes walk and it takes about another 5 from Waterloo Lodge. It’s getting quite busy when the Autumn Rugby Internationals are taking place. Ireland play the All Blacks on 15th November and Australia on 25th November. So book early. Rates for our double rooms start at €75.00 midweek and up to €139.00 on a Saturday nights for 2 people. Because our Townhouse’s are located in the City Centre in Dublin 2 and Dublin 4, you will be within each reach of the shops on Grafton Street and also within easy reach of the LUAS Green line to Dundrum shopping centre.

Romeo and Juliet — 13th -15th November 2013 – The Tchaikovsky Perm State Ballet are returning to Dublin in November after their highly successful performances of ‘Swan Lake’ and ‘The Nutcracker’ last December – and they will be presenting Prokofiev’s ROMEO AND JULIET – with choreography by Kenneth MacMillan. You’ll see the perfect representation of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy.
The Nutcracker — 16th and 17th November 2013 – This most famous story of a young girl receiving a Nutcracker doll at Christmas, and then experiencing a magical adventure, with her dolls coming to life and the Nutcracker doll transforming into a handsome prince is the stuff of true fairytales.
Performed by an internationally-renowned ballet company of professional dancers of the highest calibre. Magnificent sets, costumes and props as you would expect from a famous international ballet company.
Three Phantoms — 19th and 20th November 2013 – Led by Three Phantoms of the Opera this outstanding show features over 20 songs from Les Misérables, West Side Story, Chicago, Kiss Me Kate, My Fair Lady, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Wicked to name but a few. The beautiful staging of this fantastic concert which evokes the drama and excitement of the great musicals concludes by celebrating the world’s most successful entertainment phenomenon – The Phantom of the Opera.
The High Kings — 23rd November 2013 – Multi Platinum Artists, The High Kings now signed to Sony International. Ireland’s folk band comprising Brian Dunphy, Finbarr Clancy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden. Internationally acclaimed singers of Irish folk songs. The High Kings showcase their incredible versatility and skills as multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between the four of them, bringing a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites.

Mooney Tunes — 16th December 2013 – We’re delighted to announce that RTÉ One will return to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre for one night only on Monday December the 16th with the hugely successful Mooney Tunes.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers — 27th January 2014 – 1st February 2014 – Set in Oregon in 1850, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is the story of Adam Pontipee who goes to town looking for a bride. He finds Milly working in a restaurant and convinces her to marry him. Milly’s ecstasy quickly sours when she finds she is to also take care of Adam’s six unkempt, burly brothers. Deciding to make the marriage work, Milly sets a plan into motion to marry off the brothers, including teaching them how to court girls.
